Social Media Response Many shoppers and sellers are posting online stating that platform listings now display a modified sizing category than originally posted because of the remapping. The platform stated the revised method more closely matches similar services. The platform has recommended to check their listings and update the measurements by hand where appropriate, which has left users frustrated. Size Classification Modifications Previously, the measurements included numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10. The updated approach includes a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10. With some products, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size was previously a 12 but is now a UK 16-18. Member Accounts A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. A different member, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they will likely be quite upset," she stated. Manual Updates Charlotte Lunn, based in Derby, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products". "Personally, this is quite irritating, because of my ongoing medical condition and selling on Vinted has been paramount after experiencing income reduction," she explained. Service Background The app has more than 100 million shoppers, with 18 million British users. It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
